Victoria Group is among top 10 exporters in Serbia according to the report of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia and the data from the Customs Administration. The Group took the ninth position with the export value of €126.1 million in the first nine months of this year.
The Supervisory Board of Victoria Group has appointed Ivica Smolic the new Chief Executive Officer of the Group.
With more than 20 years of professional experience in the Serbian banking market, Smolic was the Chairman of the Executive Board of Komercijalna Banka for 11 years, General Manager of Srpska regionalna banka in the period between 2001 and 2004, and professionaly engaged in Investbanka, Somborska banka and Vojvodjanska banka as well.
The Supervisory Board of Victoria Group has appointed Vladimir Čupić as the new Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the company. Čupić comes to this company from the Atlantic Group, where he held the position of the Director at the Representative Office for Serbia. He gained his extensive experience in the banking sector in AIK Bank and Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, which he led for 12 years as a General Manager.
The second regional agro-business conference “Across the Field to Europe” was held on March 15 within the 83rd holding of the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. The central topic was the possibilities of expansion of trade and cooperation in the regional agro-business and using pre-accession IPARD funds.
Within the Forum for Social Innovations that was held on April 22 in Belgrade, the previous work of “Academy of Business Skills” for non-profit organizations was presented. As a result of this initiative, there was a gathering of the first community of business professionals from the biggest companies that operate in Serbia, who donate their knowledge and skills, and in this way help organizations which promote goals that are of social benefit.
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia has published a report on the current macroeconomic developments containing a list of the top 15 exporters in the period January – February 2016, according to the Customs Administration data.
The 23rd Kopaonik Business Forum was held on Kopaonik Mountain from March 8 to 10. It gathered more than 800 businessmen and women from the country and the region, representatives of the Government of Serbia, economic analysts, and international experts. This year’s gathering, dubbed “Catching up and convergence with leading trends: How to fix up the main fractures of the system”, featured 20 panels on the current economic topics.
The FRA ARENA 2016 6th International Conference of FMCG, Retail and Agribusiness Industry was held in Vienna on February 18 – 19, organized by the Infoarena Group with the support of EBRD. This year’s topic “From Global Challenges to Grand Opportunities” gathered more than 80 experts and entrepreneurs from the region, including the representatives of international institutions and organizations.
According to the consolidated business results in the period from September 2014 to August 2015, the so-called agricultural year, Victoria Group achieved more than EUR 380 million in sales revenue, a 15% increase compared to the previous agricultural year. An increase was also achieved both in the sales on domestic and foreign markets, while export generated over 40% of sales revenue.
The Third Danube Soya congress, which was held in Berlin from May 6 to 8, saw more than 400 participants from Europe, America, and Australia. Victoria Group’s representatives at the congress were: Marta Kinka, Sales Manager at Sojaprotein; Aleksandra Bauer, General Manager at SP Laboratory; and Natalija Kurjak, Marketing Manager at Victoria Logistic. Those visiting the company’s exhibit stand had the opportunity to get detailed information about the production portfolio of Sojaprotein, and the possibilities of cooperation.
