Victoria Group Participates in Non-GMO Product Labelling Conference

As part of the 80th International Agriculture Fair, a regional conference titled “Importance of Labelling NON GMO Products”, organised by the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ, the Danube Soya Association and the Novi Sad Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, was held on 23 May 2013. Victoria Group participated in both the presentation and round table with James King, General Manager of Sojaprotein, which operates as part of the Group, and Natalija Kurjak, Victoria Group’s Relationship Marketing Manager.

Matthias Krön, Danube Soya Association President, announced Victoria Group as a new member of this organisation, which promotes the cultivation of soybean of strictly controlled origin and quality in the Danube region. In his opening speech, he underscored the company’s exceptionally important role in this field and the fact that Sojaprotein is one of the largest producers of soybean products in Europe.  Mr. King presented some very important details about the factory’s capacity and its production portfolio, placing particular emphasis on the use of soy protein concentrates in human and animal nutrition. Mrs. Kurjak spoke about the significance of producing non-genetically modified soybean, and drew on statistical data to demonstrate the economic benefit for agricultural producers and refuted the claim that GMO soybean offers higher yields.

In addition to Victoria Group’s participation in this regional conference, Veterinary Institute Subotica held two presentations for partners and potential foreign distributors in the Novi Sad Fair Congress Centre. Marketing Manager Milan Rajin presented a new brand of dog food, Dog&Style, which was launched at the Agriculture Fair itself, speaking about all seven products in the Dog&Style range: Puppy, Junior, Adult, Universal, Senior, Sport and Energy. Igor Apić, Sales Representative for animal feed products, held a presentation titled “Cattle Feed” about the range of ruminant feed produced by Veterinary Institute Subotica.

That same day, 23 May, Victoriaoil celebrated good business results achieved in the period between the two agriculture fairs. The company’s most important distributors and buyers mingled with one another at the Salaš 84 in the vicinity of Novi Sad, at an event put on as a sign of gratitude for their long-term successful cooperation with the company.
