Victoria Group is a partner of the “Agricultural Policy of Serbia” conference

Victoria Group supported the holding of the “NIN Focus” conference about the agricultural policy of Serbia, which was organized in Belgrade on March 25 by the NIN weekly news magazine with the institutional support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia.

This conference, dedicated to the development of agribusiness in Serbia, brought together all the key actors in the process of improving agricultural production and improving the competitiveness of domestic agricultural companies on the world market.

The expert meeting was opened by the relevant minister, Snežana Bogosavljević Bošković, who briefly presented the current situation in Serbian agriculture, and the results of the Ministry's efforts, emphasizing the preparation of key instruments for achieving all of the goals defined in the Strategy of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Serbia 2014–2024.

Speaking about the Ministry’s activities and relevant subjects, including the incentives system, compliance with the common agricultural policy of the European Union, changes in the regulation, cooperatives, as well as the export of agricultural and food products, were: Dragan Glamočić, Head of the Action Team for Agriculture and an Adviser to the Prime Minister of Serbia; Danilo Golubović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture; Dragan Mirković and Nenad Katanić, Assistant Ministers of Agriculture.

Panelists at the Conference were: Žarko Galetin, Director of the Commodity Exchange in Novi Sad; Prof. Miladin Ševarlić, President of the Serbian Association of Agricultural Economists; Nenad Budimović, Secretary of the Association for Agriculture, Food and Tobacco Industry and Water Management at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and Vladimir Rajić, Business Center Director at ProCredit Bank.

Victoria Group has almost a 10 percent share of Serbia’s agricultural and food exports, with food exports making up 23 percent of the total export of the Republic of Serbia. Last year, the company prefinanced the primary agricultural production in the amount of over EUR 60 million.
