The Supervisory Board of Victoria Group has appointed Ivica Smolic the new Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

With more than 20 years of professional experience in the Serbian banking market, Smolic was the Chairman of the Executive Board of Komercijalna Banka for 11 years, General Manager of Srpska regionalna banka in the period between 2001 and 2004, and professionaly engaged in Investbanka, Somborska banka and Vojvodjanska banka as well.

Excellent sales results that Victoria Group is achieving on foreign markets are confirmed by its placement among top 15 Serbian exporters. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia has published this list for the period January – June 2016, according to the Customs Administration data. Victoria Group took the eleventh position with the export value of €73.4 million in the first six months of this year.

The 57th Conference on the Production and Processing of Oilseeds themed “Innovations for a better world” was held from June 19 to 24, in Herceg Novi. The Conference was organized by the Faculty of Technology of the University of Novi Sad, the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, the Industrial crops business association, and the oil industry's Council of technologists, with the traditional participation of 4 member companies of Victoria Group: Victoria Logistic, Victoriaoil, Sojaprotein, and SP Laboratorija.

Sojaprotein, one of the largest European processors of non-GMO soybean, today exports its products to 53 countries worldwide. With just over 30 European countries that make up the central market of the Company, which operates within Victoria Group, the market has expanded to the Middle East and Northern Africa in the past year, with exports going to the Far East, and even to Mexico. Regular shipments now go to Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and other Asian and African countries.

The Supervisory Board of Victoria Group has appointed Vladimir Čupić as the new Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the company. Čupić comes to this company from the Atlantic Group, where he held the position of the Director at the Representative Office for Serbia. He gained his extensive experience in the banking sector in AIK Bank and Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, which he led for 12 years as a General Manager.

After the promotion of the range of finished soybean products for use in human consumption in catering facilities on the territory of the municipality of Bečej, Sojaprotein began to promote this production segment in restaurants in Novi Sad.

The second regional agro-business conference “Across the Field to Europe” was held on March 15 within the 83rd holding of the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. The central topic was the possibilities of expansion of trade and cooperation in the regional agro-business and using pre-accession IPARD funds.

Within the Forum for Social Innovations that was held on April 22 in Belgrade, the previous work of “Academy of Business Skills” for non-profit organizations was presented. As a result of this initiative, there was a gathering of the first community of business professionals from the biggest companies that operate in Serbia, who donate their knowledge and skills, and in this way help organizations which promote goals that are of social benefit.

A German economic delegation, that has been interested in applying renewable energy sources to industry, paid a visit to Sojaprotein , a member of the Victoria Group. On this occasion, Sojaprotein’s power plant was visited by Vlastimir Stojanović as a member of the German Economic Delegation in Serbia, and Zlatko Jovanović, representative of the German company A.P. Bioenergietechnik Gmbh.
